4/5/2010 Last day to register to vote in person at the local County Election Commission Office. (TCA § 2-2-109) May
4/14/2010 First day a registered voter may vote early by personal appearance. All counties must be open a minimum of three (3) consecutive hours each weekday, including Saturdays, during the period of April 14, 2010 to April 29, 2010. (TCA §§ 2-6-102(a)(1) and 2-6-103(a)(1)) May

5/7/2010 May 7, 2010 is the first day a voter may request an absentee ballot for the August 5, 2010 State Primary election. All ballots must be received by the close of the polls on election day. (TCA § 2-6-202(a)) August
6/21/2010 By this date special write-in absentee ballots must be mailed to members of the armed forces, their spouses, and citizens temporarily outside the United States. If prepared, the official absentee ballot may be used. (TCA § 2-6-503) August
7/6/2010 Last day to register to vote in person at the local County Election Commission Office. (TCA § 2-2-109) August
