Tennessean Newspaper Notice

As of July 1, 2009, the Tennessean newspaper will no longer be available through the Tennessee Electronic Library. The Tennessean is currently provided to TEL by the NewsBank Corporation. But beginning July 1,  ProQuest, another database vendor, will be the exclusive provider of 85 full-text newspaper titles from the Gannett Company, Inc, the publisher of the Tennessean.

Attempts by the Tennessee State Library and Archives to finalize an agreement with ProQuest for access to the Tennessean have not yet been reached. The State Library is working hard to find a solution to the loss of the Tennessean.
