About the Photographs and Images

The Tennessee State Library and Archives is home to hundreds of thousands of photographs and images that depict the rich and diverse history of Tennessee, including historic events, houses, buildings, and prominent individuals. Although the present database provides access to a growing number of digitized images, only a fraction of the entire TSLA collection is available online. Read more about the images.

How to Order

1. Download and complete the Photo Order and Fee Schedule Form. Please make sure to include phone number.
2. Mail orders to Attention: Preservation Services, Tennessee State Library and Archives, 403 7th Avenue North, Nashville, TN, 37243.
3. We will contact you for payment when order is completed. DO NOT send credit card information through the mail.
