This drawing is taken from (page 337) the book "Life of Pauline Cushman the Celebrated Union Spy and Scout" written by F. L. Sarmiento, Esq in 1865. Pauline Cushman was to be hanged in Shelbyville but was rescued by Union forces on June 27, 1863. |
